Richa Chadda

Richa Chadda (born circa 1987) is an Indian actress. She made her Bollywood debut with the comedy-drama film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008). She was praised for her performance in the 2012 crime films Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1 and Part 2, for which she was awarded the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.

Chadda was born in 1987 and brought up in Delhi, India, to a Punjabi Hindu father and a Bihari mother. Her father owns a management firm and her mother is a professor at PGDAV College of Delhi University, who has authored two books and also works with Gandhi Smriti.  After completing her schooling from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in 2002, Richa graduated with a Bachelors in History from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. Chadda later went on to get a PG Diploma in Social Communication Media from Sophia College, Mumbai.
