Bhabani Bhattacharya

Bhabani Bhattacharya (1910-1988) was one of the finest Indian novelists in English. Winner of the Sahitya Akademi Award for his novel Shadow from Ladakh, most of Dr Bhattacharya's novels have been translated into several Indian and European languages. Some of his novels are also used as standard texts in various American schools. Dr Bhattacharya's most celebrated works are So Many Hungers, Music for Mohini, He Who Rides a Tiger, A Goddess Named Gold and Dreams in Hawaii! He also taught at various American universities.
