Chandrakant Bakshi

Chandrakant Bakshi (1932-2006) taught History and Political Science at the University of Bombay. He wrote more than 160 books in Gujarati, Hindi and English. Hailed as “an angry young thinker,” he inspired three generations of youth. He was considered too bold and unconventional for Gujarati literature as his work is replete with violence and non-conventional sexuality.
