Prabhat Shunglu

Prabhat Shunglu began as a reporter with The Statesman and later worked for The Pioneer and The Times of India, before switching to electronic media with BiTV. He has reported extensively from the conflict zones of Kargil (1999), Afghanistan (2001-2002) and Iraq (2003), on national disasters like the cyclone in Orissa (2000) and the Gujarat earthquake (2001), on national and provincial elections, and interviewed several political personalities. He has worked with Aaj Tak, Star News, IBN7, Rajya Sabha TV and News Express. The author’s first book, Yahan Mukhaute Bikte Hain, a collection of essays on politics and contemporary issues was published to critical acclaim in 2010. Prabhat studied at St Joseph’s College, Allahabad and graduated in Commerce from Allahabad University. Newsroom LIVE is his second book and his first work of fiction.
