KIRAN MANRAL
Kiran Manral is an award-winning and bestselling author, TEDx speaker, columnist and feminist. A prolific writer, she has authored books across genres in both fiction and non-fiction. An ex-journalist, qualitative market researcher and trendspotter, Kiran was a mentor with Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk. The Indian Council of UN Relations (ICUNR) supported by the Ministry for Women and Child Development, Government of India, awarded her the International Women’s Day Award 2018 for excellence in the field of writing. In 2021, she was named in the Womennovator 1000 Women of Asia list. The Red Dot Foundation and Beyond Black, in partnership with the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor, Government of India, and British High Commission, New Delhi, named her as one of the 75 Iconic Indian women in STEAM (fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) in 2022. In addition, she served as Sheroes’ mentor, an advisor on the Board of Literature Studio, Delhi, and a member of the Kumaon Literary Festival planning board. She co-curated Women Writer’s Fest by SheThePeople.TV and co-curated Festivelle 2016. She has spoken and participated in panels at India’s major literary festivals and esteemed conferences.
